Job 23:10

When He hath tried me...

The Christian way of life is marked trials and deliverance, guided always by the sovereign hand of God.

To ask "why, God?" is but human nature (natural), to which the answer of faith says, "trust God" (unnatural).

We are not trail blazers in this world. We are not discovering new ways or paths to God. We suffer no new circumstance or trial that has not been felt aforetime. But with each enduring generation, we exercise the high privilege and opportunity to know God on a personal level, to discover His will for our lives, and to do it.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

So with every heartache and every trouble, let us draw nigh to God and He will draw night to us. Let us cleanse our hands and purify our hearts. Let us be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let our laughter be turned to mourning, and our joy to heaviness. Yea, let us humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift us up. Let us only say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Psalm 51:17

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Psalm 51:18

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Psalm 51:19

But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

Job 23:10
